Hiroe - JCAT

  • Hiroe, born in Hiroshima, loved to draw pictures of a princess during her childhood, with 120 different colored pencils. When she was in high school, she decided to be an illustrator, and went on to learn the basics of illustration. Then, inspired by Andy Warhol’s work as an advertising designer, Hiroe also gained practical skills in graphic design and joined a design company in Hiroshima.

The first picture that she created for herself was called “Yellow Rose”. She did not care much for the details, or worry if it was warped or bent, because it had life. This “Yellow Rose” gave her the courage to use her art to enlighten others.

The purpose behind Hiroe’s pictures and paintings is to enliven and bring happiness to the places and people around them. With a multitude of colors applied in unique ways, her works create a wonderfully strange, dreamlike impression. Painting with colors beyond the lines, she brings a powerful energy to both lives and objects.
